Sorcery in Islam (part 2 of 2): Serious sins that endanger a person’s hereafter

Source: https://www.islamreligion.com/articles/5248/sorcery-in-islam-part-2/

Prophet Muhammad, may the mercy and blessings of God be upon him, told us that sorcery was real, and that it was dangerous both physically and spiritually.  However if we face a problem or become ill we should not immediately think we have been harmed by sorcery.  Often those who truly believe they are affected by sorcery one of the first things they think of doing, is using sorcery to heal themselves.  This is entirely incorrect.  Evil cannot, under any circumstances whatsoever, be removed by more evil.  Evil can only be cured or removed by good.

Many diseases of the mind and body mimic the effects of magic therefore a person should always seek help from qualified medical practitioners before jumping to the conclusion that they have had a spell cast on them.  However the reality is that God does allow these things into our lives, either as a test or as a means to greater reward.  It is wise to remember that nothing happens without the permission of God, and God may heal the person affected by sorcery, without any action on the part of the person affected, or others on his behalf, because He is Able to do all things, and He is Wise in all that He does. Sorcery in Islam (part 1 of 2): Serious sins that endanger a person’s hereafter

Source: https://www.islamreligion.com/articles/5246/sorcery-in-islam-part-1/

Islam’s position on sorcery for both the one who practices magic and the one who believes in sorcery can be summed up in just one sentence.  Sorcery is absolutely forbidden.  However, let us try to discover why Islam forbids it.  Remembering that Islam is a way of life, not just a set of beliefs that people may or may not practice, we find that sorcery is forbidden because of the damage it can do to individuals, families and the community.

Since the dawn of time, human beings have been fascinated by sorcery in all its forms.  They have been mystified and awe-inspired and often times unaware of the dangers inherent in sorcery.  Sorcery is known in Arabic as sihr and it is one of the tricks that Satan uses to lead humankind astray.  It is, for this reason, Islam warns against magic.  God warns against it in the Quran.

“And indeed they knew that the buyers of it (magic) would have no share in the Hereafter.  And how bad indeed was that for which they sold their own selves if they but knew.” (Quran 2:102) Read more of this post

The next contact between Prophet Muhammad and Gabriel beside suicide story.

Claim 1. Your Prophet tried to kill himself.
The story of Prophet Muhammad tried to kill himself used by Christians to attack Muslims. We can find such story in the hadiths and the biographies of Prophet Muhammad.
Yes, we found Prophet Muhammad said that because of the confusing time experiencing the supernatural incident. It doesn’t prove anything against his Prophethood.
BUT. What they are trying to avoid is the NEXT CONTACT between Prophet Muhammad and GABRIEL. It exists in the hadiths and the biographies. And this one they tried to avoid.

Claim 2. It is Satan who met Prophet Muhammad in the cave. Not Gabriel. No one tells him it is Gabriel.
Gabriel himself tells the Prophet about who he is.

After mentioning the coming of the Revelation, the Messenger of Allâh (PBUH)  said: “I have never abhorred anyone more than a poet or a mad man. I can not stand looking at either of them. I will never tell anyone of Quraish of my Revelation. I will climb a mountain and throw myself down and die. That will relieve me. I went to do that but halfway up the mountain, I heard a voice from the sky saying

‘O MUHAMMAD! YOU ARE THE MESSENGER OF ALLÂH AND I AM GABRIEL.’

I looked upwards and saw GABRIEL in the form oF A MAN putting his legs on the horizon. He said:

‘O MUHAMMAD! YOU ARE THE MESSENGER OF ALLÂH AND I AM GABRIEL.

I stopped and looked at him. His sight distracted my attention from what I had intended to do. I stood in my place transfixed. I tried to shift my eyes away from him. He was in every direction I looked at. I stopped in my place without any movement until Khadijah sent someone to look for me. He went down to Makkah and came back while I was standing in the same place. GABRIEL then left, and I went back home.

….. Prophet (ﷺ) became so sad as we have heard that he intended several times to throw himself from the tops of high mountains and every time he went up the top of a mountain in order to throw himself down, GABRIEL would appear before him and say,

“O MUHAMMAD! YOU ARE INDEED ALLAH’S MESSENGER (ﷺ) IN TRUTH”

whereupon his heart would become quiet and he would calm down and would return home . And whenever the period of the coming of the inspiration used to become long, he would do as before, but when he used to reach the top of a mountain, GABRIEL would appear before him and say to him what he had said before. (Ibn `Abbas said regarding the meaning of: ‘He it is that Cleaves the daybreak (from the darkness)’ (6.96) that Al-Asbah.

‘Uthman Burns All Other Manuscripts, PEOPLE WERE PLEASED WITH HIS DECISION

Source: “History of Quranic Text” by M. M. Al Azami

With the task complete, the ink on the final copy dry, and duplicate copies dispatched, there was NO NEED FOR THE NUMEROUS FRAGMENTS OF THE QUR’AN CIRCULATING IN PEOPLE’S HANDS. So ALL SUCH FRAGMENTS WERE BURNED. Mus’ab bin Sa’d asserts that the PEOPLE WERE PLEASED WITH ‘UTHMAN’S DECISION; at the very least NO ONE VOICED ANY OBJECTIONS.” Other reports confirm this unanimous approval, INCLUDING ‘ALL BIN ABI: Talib who says,

By Allah, he did what he did with these fragments in the presence of us all [i.e. and none of us objected].

The second account is somewhat more complex. Ibn SIrIn (d. 110 A.H.)

Reports,
When ‘Uthman decided to collect (~) the Qur’an, he assembled a committee of twelve from both the Quraish and the Ansar, Among them, were Ubayy bin Ka’b and Zaid bin Thabit.

Refuting the lie that Muhammad died because he was poisoned

Muhammad was served with poison on 629AD and he died in 632AD.
Moreover, We can see that

1. Muhammd (pbuh) died after three years after tasting the poison while his companion Bishr died immediately after eating the poison, so the false claim of Christian die here directly, If not why Muhammad survived for four years after tasting the poison?

Once the Holy Prophet (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) was given food mixed with poison to eat. He who ate it first expired, but the Holy Prophet (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) lived for four years even after taking that food. That food told the Holy Prophet (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam): There is poison in me.

2. Muhammad (pbuh) died a natural death

Moreover, Muhammad Died a natural death and showed tremendous energy before his death, the poison had no effect on him. When the Prophet conquered Mecca, he was fasting Read more of this post

SON OF GOD IN JUDAISM

Source: http://www.jewishencyclopedia.com/articles/13912-son-of-god

Term applied to an angel or demigod, one of the mythological beings whose exploits are described in Gen. vi. 2-4, and whose ill conduct was among the causes of the Flood; to a judge or ruler (Ps. lxxxii. 6, “children of the Most High”; in many passages “gods” and “judges” seem to be equations; comp. Ex. xxi. 6 [R. V., margin] and xxii. 8, 9); and to the real or ideal king over Israel (II Sam. vii. 14, with reference to David and his dynasty; comp. Ps. lxxxix. 27, 28). “SONS OF GOD” AND “CHILDREN OF GOD” ARE APPLIED ALSO TO ISRAEL AS A PEOPLE (comp. Ex. iv. 22 and Hos. xi. 1) AND TO ALL MEMBERS OF THE HUMAN RACE.

Yet the term by no means carries the idea of physical descent from, and essential unity with, God the Father. The Hebrew idiom conveys nothing further than a simple expression of godlikeness (see Godliness). In fact, the term “son of God” is rarely used in Jewish literature in the sense of”Messiah.” Though in Sukkah 52a the words of Ps. ii. 7, 8 are put into the mouth of Messiah, son of David, he himself is not called “son of God.” The more familiar epithet is “King Messiah,” based partly on this psalm (Gen. R. xliv.). In the Targum the  of Ps. lxxx. 16 is rendered  (= “King Messiah”), while Ps. ii. 7 is paraphrased in a manner that removes the anthropomorphism of the Hebrew: “Thou art beloved unto me, like a son unto a father, pure as on the day when I created thee.”

Expel Jews and Christians from Arabian Peninsula?

Source: https://abuaminaelias.com/expel-jews-christians-arabian-peninsula/

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful

In the time of the Prophet (s), there were conflicts between Muslims and non-Muslims who had violently resisted the spread of the new religion. The conflicts are reflected in some verses and traditions, but conflict is not the general rule in Islam. These texts need to be interpreted in historical context and within the wider whole of Islamic teachings.

One such text is the narration that the Prophet (s) intended to expel non-Muslims from the Arabian Peninsula.

Umar ibn al-Khattab reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

لأُخْرِجَنَّ الْيَهُودَ وَالنَّصَارَى مِنْ جَزِيرَةِ الْعَرَبِ حَتَّى لاَ أَدَعَ إِلاَّ مُسْلِمًا

I will certainly expel the Jews and Christians from the peninsula until I leave none but Muslims.

Is Surah 5:32 only for the Jews?

Some Christians claim, surah 5:32 is not for Muslims but for the Jews only.

Quran 5:32
surah 5-32
SAHIH INTERNATIONAL
Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land – it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves one – it is as if he had saved mankind entirely. And our messengers had certainly come to them with clear proofs. Then indeed many of them, [even] after that, throughout the land, were transgressors.

Surah 5:32 is the continuation of surah 5:27 about the very First Killing in human history.
