Prophet (pbuh) Struck on Aisha’s Chest Disputed

Christians attack Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) abuse Aisha by struck her on the chest. They use this hadith.

… He said: ‘So you were the black shape that I saw in front of me?’ I said, ‘Yes.’ He struck me on the chest, which caused me pain, then he said: ‘Did you think that Allah and His Messenger would deal unjustly with you?’ I said: ‘Whatever the people conceal, He knows it.’… (Sahih)” (Sunan an-Nasa’i, Volume 3, Book 21, Hadith 2039; bold and italicized emphasis ours)

Muhammad bin Qais bin Makhramah said:

“Aishah said: ‘Shall I not tell you about me and about the Prophet?’ We said: ‘Yes.’ She said: ‘When it was my night when he was with me’ – meaning the Prophet -‘He came back (from ‘Isha’ prayer), put his sandals by his feet and spread the edge of his Izar on his bed. He stayed until he thought that I had gone to sleep. Then he put his sandals on slowly, picked up his cloak slowly, then opened the door slowly and went out slowly. I covered my head, put on my vie and tightened my waist wrapper, then I followed his steps until he came to Al-Baqi’. He raised his hands three times, and stood there for a long time, then he left and I left. He hastened and I also hastened; he ran and I also ran. He came (to the house) and I also came, but I got there first and entered, and as I lay down he came in. He said: “Tell me, or the Subtle, the All-Aware will tell me.’ I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, may my father and mother be ransomed for you,’ and I told him (the whole story). He said: ‘So you were the black shape that I saw in front of me?’ I said, ‘Yes.’ HE GAVE ME A NUDGE ON THE CHEST WHICH I FELT then he said: ‘Did you think that Allah and His Messenger would deal unjustly with you?’ I said: ‘Whatever the people conceal, Allah knows it.’ He said: Jibril came to me when I saw you, but he did not enter upon me because you where not fully dressed. He called me but he concealed that from you, and I answered him, but I concealed that from you too. I thought that you had gone to sleep and I did not want to wake you up, and I was afraid that you would be frightened. He told me to go to Al-Baqi’ and pray for forgiveness for them.’ I said: ‘What should I say, O Messenger of Allah?’ He said: ‘Say” Peace be upon the inhabitants of this place among the believers and Muslims. May Allah have mercy upon those who have gone on ahead of us and those who come later on, and we will join you, if Allah wills.”‘

Expel Jews and Christians from Arabian Peninsula?

Source: https://abuaminaelias.com/expel-jews-christians-arabian-peninsula/

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful

In the time of the Prophet (s), there were conflicts between Muslims and non-Muslims who had violently resisted the spread of the new religion. The conflicts are reflected in some verses and traditions, but conflict is not the general rule in Islam. These texts need to be interpreted in historical context and within the wider whole of Islamic teachings.

One such text is the narration that the Prophet (s) intended to expel non-Muslims from the Arabian Peninsula.

Umar ibn al-Khattab reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

لأُخْرِجَنَّ الْيَهُودَ وَالنَّصَارَى مِنْ جَزِيرَةِ الْعَرَبِ حَتَّى لاَ أَدَعَ إِلاَّ مُسْلِمًا

I will certainly expel the Jews and Christians from the peninsula until I leave none but Muslims.

1. Introduction

The following Hadith quotation (below) has often been quoted by some critics claiming that Prophet Muhammed (p) sanctions and/or approves of Muslims to forcefully convert non-Muslims to Islam:

“I have been commanded to fight the people until they testify that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, establish the prayer and pay the Zakah.” (Fath al-Bari, volume 1, page 95) (Tafsir Ibn Kathir (Abridged) [Abridged by A Group of Scholars Under The Supervision Of Shaykh Safiur-Rahman Al-Mubarakpuri. Maktaba Dar-us-Salam – Second Edition, 2003] volume 4, page 377)”

When we get to read the Hadith and its historical context we find that this claim has no support from the Hadith nor was it interpreted in such a way. So what is the historical understanding of the Hadith report? Read more of this post

I have been commanded to fight against people until they testify that there is no god but Allah

Source: http://www.oic-cdpu.org/en/topic/?tID=78
by Tarik Ladjal

It has been narrated on the authority of Abdullah b. ‘Umar that the Messenger of Allah said: I have been commanded to fight against people till they testify that there is no god but Allah, that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, and they establish prayer, and pay Zakat and if they do it, their blood and property are guaranteed protection on my behalf except when justified by law, and their affairs rest with Allah. Reported by Bukhari and Muslim

Perhaps no other authentic hadith has been employed to justify violence as this has been employed. Similarly, no other authentic hadith has been cited as much as this in accusing Islam of being a religion of violence that spread by the sword. This hadith has caused much confusion among Muslims and non-Muslims alike.

The isnad (chain of narrators) of this hadith is agreed upon, and it has been narrated from numerous isnads. Among them are by Ibn ‘Umar, Anas Ibn Masood, Abdullah ibn ‘Amr Ibn al-Aas and the narrations on Abu Huraira exceed 30. Despite the observations by Ibn Hajar on the isnād of this hadith in his commentary on Sahih Muslim, they do not detract from the authenticity of the hadith.

The problems in this hadith are crystallized in two points: Read more of this post

HADITH AND THE BIOGRAPHY OF PROPHET MUHAMMAD PBUH (SEERAH)

Muslim (832) narrated from ‘Urwah ibn ‘Abasah that he said to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): “With what were you sent?” He said, “I was sent to uphold the ties of kinship,TO BREAK THE IDOLS, and so that Allaah would be worshipped alone with no partner or associate.”

Al-Haafiz Ibn Hajar said:

This hadeeth indicates that it is prescribed to remove things that may tempt or confuse the people, whether they are buildings, people, animals or inanimate objects.

1 – The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) sent Khaalid ibn al-Waleed (may Allaah be pleased with him) on a CAMPAIGN TO DESTROY AL-‘UZZA.

2 – and he sent Sa’d ibn Zayd al-Ashhali (may Allaah be pleased with him) on a campaign TO DESTROY MANAAT.

3 – And he sent ‘Amr ibn al-‘Aas (may Allaah be pleased with him) on a CAMPAIGN TO DESTROY ANOTHER BIG IDOL CALLED SUWAA’. All of that happened after the Conquest of Makkah.

4 – Jarir all the way to Yemen TO DESTROY A HOUSE IN WHICH IDOLS WERE WORSHIPPED. ( as related in the Hadith by Bukhari (Volume 5: Book 59, Number 643) – he blessed Jarir and his army five times after they had done the job – which clearly indicates the nobility of this action.

After defeat by Muhammad’s forces at the Battle of UhudAbu Sufyan ibn Harb, leader of the Quraysh army, is said to have called on Hubal for support to gain victory in their next battle, saying “Show your superiority, Hubal”.[6] When Muhammad conquered Mecca in 630, HE REMOVED AND HAD DESTROYED THE STATUE OF HUBAL, ALONG WITH THE OTHER 360 IMAGES AT THE KAABA., and dedicated the structure to Allah.[7]

A large number of idol-temples were situated around Makkah. They were the objects of respect for many tribes. In order to uproot idol-worship from the region of Makkah the PROPHET SENT BATTALIONS OF SOLDIERS TO DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS TO DESTROY THE IDOL-TEMPLES SITUATED THERE. It was also announced in Makkah itself that whoever happened to have an idol in his house should break it immediately

Introduction,

Among the claims made in regards to Prophet Muhammed’s marriage to Aisha is that such a marriage was uncommon. Some online detractors even go the extend to avoid and deliberately make out to their readers that such a marriage was unheard off in history.

Indeed there are a number of authentic reports in Sahih al Bukhari and other sources which say that her marriage was consummated at the age of 9 (or 10 in some other sources). THIS WAS THE TIME SHE HAD REACHED THE AGE OF PUBERTY. Although this age is something that has been accepted among the conservative Muslims in the past and today, there are some 20th century proponents who have pointed out based on external evidence from a number of authentic reports that her age was older than what is commonly accepted among Muslims. I won’t go into much more detail on this here, as there may be an article on this matter in the near future to see if what is presented has any validity. Read more of this post

Commentary On The Hadith “War Is Deceit”

by  • JANUARY 24, 2015

The Prophet said, “War is deceit.” (Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 52, Number 269)

The above Hadith is often cited by critics that it sanctions Muslims to lie in all circumstances in order to ‘deceive’ non-believers. This is a lie, nowhere in the Hadith does it say anything of such. However, in the passage, it speaks about war, that one is allowed to use deception in order to gain the upper hand. I don’t see anything wrong with that. Hence, war is always itself a form of deceit, no parties in war would alert or tell the other what they are going to do, and then proceed. No army would inform the enemy of their movements or when they’re going to advance. Imam Nawawi in his commentary on this Hadith states that this only allowed in ‘war’:

Commentary: ‘khad’ah’ means deception, i.e., employing a strategy which causes misunderstanding to the enemy, and one real’s intent does not become evident to them. This is permissible in Islam in the state of war. – (Riyad-us-Saliheen – chapter 234: Number 1352)

Freedom of religion and apostasy in Islam

By Abu Amina Elias

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Freedom of religion and apostasy are major issues challenging Muslims in our times. On one hand, we know that Islam strictly prohibits compulsion in religion. On the other hand, classical Islamic law has prescribed the death penalty for apostasy. These two aspects of our faith exist in tension with one another and the news media often highlights controversial cases in which someone in the Muslim world has been charged with apostasy. Each time we hear of these cases the Muslims erupt into bitter arguments, some siding with religious freedom and others siding with harsh punishment.

How can we reconcile these two teachings and find the moderate, middle path to which Islam calls us?

Freedom of Religion

Islam guarantees religious freedom for non-Muslims and prohibits forced conversion and spreading the religion by violence. This teaching is established in numerous verses of the Quran and in the Prophet’s practice.

Allah said:

There is no compulsion in religion. The truth is distinct from error.

Surah Al-Baqarah 2:256

And Allah said:

Say: The truth is from your Lord. So whoever wills let him believe, and whoever wills let him disbelieve.

Surah Al-Kahf 18:29

The Prophet would peacefully call people to the religion with beautiful preaching and sound arguments. Read more of this post

Part 11-Menjawab tuduhan redaksipetang.blogspot.co.id (Pemindahan kiblat)

Original link: http://redaksipetang.blogspot.co.id/2016/07/alasan-kyai-haji-saifuddin-ibrahim-dari.html

Dari Al-Qur’an surat: 2:144
